We didn’t start this to be just another section on the road. Phoenix Mas was born out of a feeling, one that’s hard to describe but easy to recognize when you feel it. It’s the goosebumps when the riddim drops. The lump in your throat when you see generations dancing side by side. The laughter, the healing, the belonging. That’s why we’re here.
Phoenix Mas was born because we wanted to build something real. Something rooted in the joy of Caribbean culture but that was bigger than just us. A space where people who’ve never chipped down Eastern Parkway or jumped up on Ariapita can still feel like they belong. A space where culture isn’t gatekept, it’s shared, celebrated, and passed on with pride.
Our founder, Ignatius aka Mr. Stanfield, has spent over 18 years pouring his heart into events that connect people. But Phoenix Mas? This is personal.
